The before pictures were of me from the age of
16-18 years old where I ranged from 185-198 lbs
and was a size 18. Now I am 22 years old, down to

Cleansing/Fasting
Cleansing is a detoxification technique
that many models use throughout their
careers - not only do you lose weight but
you look great too! It actually helps to
clear your complexion and gives you
strong, healthy hair.
Over the course of my modeling career I
have fasted every year to keep my skin
glowing and shed unwanted pounds. By
fasting for a week on juice and soup, I
have lost around 5 lbs each time. I don't
recommend fasting on water alone, as
detoxing too quickly can cause severe
headaches and nausea from the poisons
being flushed quickly out of your body.
I used to go to Thailand once a year when
I lived in Asia, just to go to a spa and
detox for seven days. Although this is
obviously not practical for everyone, just
doing a cleanse and treating yourself to a
few relaxing days at home can have the
same effect.
- Diet
Combinations of fresh carrot, celery,
beet, spinach, apple and coconut are
ideal. However much you like citrus or
tomato juice, these are really too acidic
to drink while fasting. Remember also to
drink plenty of water and avoid
consuming anything other than the broth,
juice, water, and unnecessary
medications/supplements.
You can add something to make the drink
more exciting - ginger is my favorite. I
also have a great recipe for vegetable
broth (see below).
Juice can be consumed throughout the
day as needed. Drinking less juice will
speed up the detoxification process,
whereas more will slow it down. It's not
set in stone, so go with what feels right.
When doing a cleanse, you should take
colon-cleansing herbs and Psyllium
husks - the Psyllium will help you to feel
a little more full while also gently
scraping the old fecal matter out of your
colon. Excellent Psyllium products can
be found online.
This diet should normally last only 3 days
to a week, after which you should go
back to your normal diet or consumption.
Hopefully you will feel so great that you
will make some changes in your diet
going forward, maybe introduce some
fresh vegetables, to prolong the positive
effects of the cleanse.

Raw Food Diet Menu
Now you can put your plan together. Here's a sample
raw food diet plan:
Breakfast
Fresh fruit, coconut water, flax meal (banana, apple,
flaxseed, almond milk and cinnamon) topped with
germinated nuts.
Lunch
Smoothy made of super foods, spinach and herbal
tea, wheatgrass, home-made sunflower seed cheese
or pate on cucumber, coleslaw with avocado.
Dinner
Avocado/carrot soup, tai lettuce wraps, green juice.
Drinks
Pure water, fresh juices, smoothies, coconut water,
almond milk.
You may want to check the raw food recipe section
frequently. I'll add many of the recipes mentioned
above.

The best diet plan is a personalized diet plan. Should
you eat mostly carbs, protein or fats? This depends
on your constitution and might take some time to
figure out. If you have diabetes, cancer or candida
you shouldn't eat high sugar fruits or starches and
best avoid animal fats.

Raw Food for Weight Loss
Weight loss is almost certain on this diet: the live
food is high in water, fiber and nutritions thus you
won't get hungry quickly. Actually, it's hard not to lose
weight. In addition, you'll eat more alkaline foods

Juice fasting has the surprising benefit of very rapid
weight loss. I know a man who entered a juice fast
for health reasons and lost one pound a day for 28
days and to within five pounds of his target weight.
This is a typical experience. You feel so much better

Some supplements are appropriate to use during
this kind of weight loss program. However
stimulating herbs can be very damaging to your
body as it is excited by chemicals that are 20 times
more powerful that a cup of coffee. The excess
stimulation damages your body's ability to fight
disease and your nervous system undergoes heavy
stress. Remember that you are changing your
lifestyle, so diet and exercise are the elements that
you can live with for the rest of your life. If you
develop these life changing attitudes and practices,
even when you are elderly, you can easily
