1/23/2011 Getting quite the warm welcome upon arrival, Shakira was the belle of the ball at the 12th
annual NRJ Music Awards in Cannes, France on Saturday evening (January 22).
Working her way into the Palais des Festivals et des Congres venue, the Colombian cutie donned a
darling black frock as she greeted fans before heading inside for the posh ceremony.
Making for quite the action-packed night, Shakira was among the star performers as she treated
attendees to renditions of "Loca" and "Waka Waka".
Also ending up one of the big winners at the NRJ Awards, the 33-year-old took home trophies for
International Female Artist of the Year and International Song of the Year for her World Cup hit "Waka
Waka (This Time for Africa)".
