People ask me everyday what was the strongest product that I have taken to lose weight the fastest. I took Prothinspo's Hydroxylim/
Diet Slim...I chose this product because of two studies.... The first studied showed a more rapid and effective weight loss than other
diet products.This study set out to determine the efficacy of a calcium/potassium salt of 60% HCA extract from Garcinia cambogia
alone and in combination with niacin-bound chromium and a standardized Gymnema Sylvestre Extract on weight-loss parameters in
human volunteers. I know blah blah, but  In a double-blind fashion,
60 moderately obese individuals were randomly assigned to three
groups.
Group 1 received just calcium/potassium salt of 60% HCA extract from Garcinia cambogia.
Group 2 received the Garcinia cambogia extract, chromium polynicotinate, and Gymnema sylvestre extract.
Group 3 received a placebo. All subjects received a 2000 kcal/day diet, participated in supervised walking five times per week, and
took their assigned test supplements 3 times daily, 30 to 60 minutes before meals.
Test measurements were then performed throughout the study, evaluating changes in bodyweight, body mass index (BMI), appetite,
blood lipids, and markers of fat oxidation.
After 8 weeks,
Group 1 lost an average of 10 pounds, Group 2 lost 12.54 pounds, and the placebo group lost 3.53 pounds. At 8 weeks,
both Group 1 and 2 were found to have lost significantly more weight than the placebo group. A reduction in appetite was also
demonstrated in both Group 1 and 2. In addition, both Group 1 and 2 showed a significant increase in indicators of fat breakdown. It
was concluded that supplementation with the combination of (-)– hydroxycitric acid (HCA-SX), niacin-bound chromium, and Gymnema
Sylvestre Extract can help people with weight management.

The next study was an 8 week study....In this 8-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled human trial, 30 moderately obese
subjects were divided into three groups. Group 1 received just the calcium/potassium salt of 60% HCA extract from Garcinia
cambogia. Group 2 received Garcinia cambogia extract, chromium polynicotinate, and Gymnema sylvestre extract. Group 3 received
a placebo. All subjects were placed on a 2000 kcal/day diet; ingested the assigned test supplements 3 times daily, 30 to 60 minutes
prior to meals; and participated in supervised walking five times per week. At the end of 8 weeks, Group 1 lost, on average, 12.1
pounds. Group 2 lost, on average, 14.99 pounds. Group 3 lost, on average, 3.06 pounds. At the end of the study period, weight-loss
values in both Group 1 and Group 2 were significantly greater than in the placebo group. Moreover, the placebo group showed a slight
increase in food consumption, while the HCA groups both showed a significant reduction in appetite compared to placebo. Based on
the results from this study, it was concluded that the unique HCA extract used in this trial, either alone or in combination with
Gymnema Sylvestre Extract and niacin-bound chromium, is effective in helping control appetite, increase fat oxidation, and promote
weight loss.

MORE REASONS TO WANT TO BE THINNER....
Most normal-weight women WANT TO BE THINNER I have been dealing with millions of women for years and in my 30 years in the
business have not met one women who didn't want to be thinner that was healthy and had no medical issues at hand. There are studies
that show that this is not just my opinion and experience in this topic... Studies show that almost 90 percent in a Cornell study of 310
college students
WANT TO BE THINNER.... They yearn to be thinner. Half of underweight women want to lose even more weight and
WANTED TO BE THINNER, or stay just the way they are FOREVER, thank you very much.
Meanwhile, most overweight women don't want to be thin enough to achieve a healthy weight... Yeah I said it!! They don't even know
how to set goals to be at a
healthy weight for their height and body type...
This is more on the study....
According to the study, one of the few to quantify the magnitude of body-weight dissatisfaction, which was published recently in the
journal Eating Behaviors, most -- 78 percent -- of the overweight males surveyed also want to weigh less. But of this group, almost two-
thirds -- 59 percent -- do not want to lose enough, so the body weight they desire would still keep them overweight.

More than 60 percent of U.S. adults are considered overweight or obese. And "because they don't meet the societal ideals propagated
by the media and advertising for body weight, they are often targets of discrimination within educational, workplace and health-care
settings and are stigmatized as lazy, lacking self-discipline and unmotivated," says Lori Neighbors, Ph.D. '07, who conducted the
research with Jeffery Sobal, Cornell professor of nutritional sociology in Cornell's College of Human Ecology.

These factors have led many people to be dissatisfied with their bodies, says Neighbors, now an assistant professor of nutrition at the
University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

When the Cornell researchers assessed body weight versus the weight and shape individuals wish they had, they found that:

•Men and women are similarly dissatisfied with their weight by an average of about 8 pounds, though women are much more
dissatisfied with their bodies.
Men have more mixed desires -- some want to lose weight while others want to gain weight.
•Most of the normal-weight women who want to weigh less desire a weight still within the normal-weight range. However, 10 percent
want to weigh what experts deem as officially underweight.
•Half of the underweight women want to stay the same or lose weight. "The majority of underweight females, closer in body size to the
thin cultural ideal, consider their body weight 'about right,'" said Sobal, even though experts have deemed these body weights
unhealthful.
•Overweight women want to weigh less. But about half want a body weight that would continue to make them overweight.


So.... The findings suggest "that the idealized body weight and shape, especially among underweight females and overweight
individuals of both genders, are not in accordance with population-based standards defining healthy body weight." (Which in my opinion
is probably the reason most people are overweight, I think they need to adjust the based standards to the individual, but that is just me)
Anyway, In a society in which excess weight is the norm, it's vital, say the researchers, to better understand body dissatisfaction and
how this dissatisfaction impacts weight-management efforts. (

"While both men and women express some degree of body dissatisfaction, a surprising proportion of people with less healthy body
weights -- underweight females and overweight individuals of both genders -- do not idealize a body weight that would move them to a
more healthy state," said Neighbors.
The research was supported primarily by the National Institutes of Health.

Half of Britain's six-year-old girls 'want to be thinner'
Most 12-year-olds in Britain think they are too fat, while half of the country's six-year-olds say they would like
to be skinnier. READ MORE BELOW...
Half the six-year-olds asked to pick their ideal body shape from a range of digitally altered images of
themselves chose one that was three sizes smaller than the real image – the slimmest option they could
choose.

Many of the girls questioned in the study, by Cambridge University, said they thought being skinnier would
make them more popular.

The experiment was carried out ahead of Jo Frost: Extreme Parental Guidance, a television programme to
be screened on Channel 4 on Tuesday.

The mother of six-year-old Saffron Davis, who opted for the thinnest image, said the attention given to size
zero models was responsible for making normal children overweight.

She told The Sun: "Saffron looks through my magazines and says her legs are fat. There is a worrying culture
of girls thinking they're overweight from a very young age."

Last week it was reported that five-year-old Lucy Davis, 3st 9lbs, had been classed as "unhealthily fat" by
NHS doctors in Poole, Dorset because she was one per cent over her ideal Body Mass Index.

SO HERE ARE SOME TIPS TO COMMIT TO YOUR GOALS..
1) Social commitment: Tell others about your goals... people love to police you when you are on a diet.
a) Diet with others with a similar goal.
b) Make sure your family and friends know your goal.

2) Track your inputs as well as your results. If you really need to eat that bag of candy, do so, but log it; later
in the day seeing that in your log might give you the extra bit of will-power needed to skip the second
helping of dinner. And at the end of the week, you won't wonder why you haven't lost anything when the
"almost" in "I almost never snack" actually adds up to 500 calories a day (and more importantly, you'll know
what to target as your worst hidden sources of calories).

3) For exercise, unfortunately, you just have to start doing it; But once you do start, and get into a routine, it
gets so easy to maintain that you'll feel "off" if you skip a workout.

What to do if you can't control your eating..
Couple of things...

1. Don't stock the "bad food" in your house, ever. If someone brings a bag of chips over and leaves them
there, throw them out after they leave.
2. Plan your whole eating schedule. Plan at least the next 1 or 2 days in advance, if not the whole week. Eat
only what you planned. I think your whole day of eating is already pre-determined, you will be way less likely
to "cheat". I did this pre-planning for a long time until eating right just became routine and I don't really plan
as much any more.

fiction. That is, you are observing what is actually occurring from what you perceive is occurring in a
nonjudgmental way. Your mind plays tricks on you, don’t fall into it’s trap.
Remember to start small and be mindful of only 1-3 simple things for a month. Don’t over do it! This is a
marathon, not a sprint. For example some simple goals to slowly incorporate one at a time are: drinking
more water, eliminating soda and juice, add more fiber to your diet by buying "100% whole wheat bread" and
other whole grain options (make sure the package says "100% whole wheat" since that's the required
phrase by law), wait 20 minutes between second portions, eat a piece of fruit a day, eat 1.5x the amount of
veggies you would eat during a meal, etc. etc. Slowly over time these small goals add up and become
second nature.

Think of your stomach pains in a whole new light. Your stomach doesn’t hurt because you are hungry, that
burning feeling is fat melting off of you. When I am out and am tempted by fast foods or conveniences
(candy bars, cereal bars…yes they are just as bad) I grab a handful or as much as I can anyway of my
stomach and think of how gross it would be if I ate whatever I want. My clothes fit nice and tight and if I eat I
know my tummy will bloat slightly…and uh..ick!

Never eat anything bigger than your fist. If you have to stretch your lips, it’s TOO BIG.

Exercise every day, even if it’s only for 15 minutes.  Take 5-10 minute chunks out of

burts of exercise will help fuel your metabolism and burn calories.  They’re easier to
swallow than a longer exercise regime.

Sit up straight. You’ll burn at least ten percent more calories sitting upright than
reclining – and you’ll look better!

Eat slowly. Put your fork down between each bite. If you’re right-handed, try eating
with your left, or vice-versa. You’ll eat a lot less this way.

Chew sugar-free gum.  It curbs your appetite and keeps your mouth busy so you won’t want to put anything else
in it.  Gives you fresh breath too!


Eat to live, not live to eat.  Food is about sustenance to feed your body, not a substance to heal your soul.  If
you feel that you eat not to fulfill a physical need, but an emotional one, try to look within yourself to figure it
out.  

When you feel the urge to eat, start by drinking a cup or two of water or a zero-calorie drink. See how you feel
after five minutes. If you are still hungry, grab a low calorie snack.


Eating five walnuts or eight almonds (approximately 65 calories) stimulates production of cholecystokinin, a
hormone that slows your stomach from emptying so you feel fuller much longer.


Keep a food journal or diary.  Writing down what you eat and the calories can really encourage you to eat less.  
Look at it often and frequently.  You don’t realize how many calories you consume in a day until you are forced
to look at it – it will make you sick. Also, you can add a
calorie counter gadget to your homepage which is very
handy!


When you are hungry, boil or microwave water and put a chicken or beef broth cube in. They’re only 15-20
calories and the taste makes you feel like you ate.




Put a mirror in front of your refrigerator or pantry – see if you’ll be able to pig out then!




Brush your teeth frequently – at least 3-4 times a day.  Not only will this give you a great smile and keep your
breath fresh, but you’re much less likely to want a snack after brushing your teeth.




My favorite skinny tip is sugar-free jello! It comes in so many flavors and it’s only 10 calories per serving.  If you
add in some plain gelatin but no extra water it makes it firmer, and somehow better.  The kind I use only adds
about 5 calories per serving.  It makes nails grow faster too!  Sometime I’ll add two teaspoons of cayenne
pepper for an extra metabolism kick–spicy, sweet and delicious!


Drink some cider vinegar – it curbs your appetite, speeds up metabolism and detoxes your liver and basically
flushes you out.  


Put on dark-colored lipstick.  If you do, you’re not going to eat much – maybe not at all, because you don’t want
to get smudges over your lips and face or on your teeth.  Apply more lipstick as the day goes on.  Stick to this
plan and you’ll have the perfect excuse for not eating! BETTER IS THE

I have a tip that works great for me to help me not eat, similar to the lemon water tip. When I feel hungry, I suck
on a Vitamin C drop. They’re the same price as generic cough drops and have the same benefits as lemon juice.
And a bonus: only 15 calories. Three a day is as filling (for me at least) as three big meals and that’s ONLY 45
calories for the whole day!  They have different flavors too so it’s not boring.  


COFFEE, COFFEE, COFFEE! It is a well known appetite suppressant.  I honestly never feel hungry with it.  The
caffeine keeps you from feeling slow and lethargic when your calories are low and it hypes up your metabolism.  
If you can’t drink it straight black, try it with non-fat milk and Splenda.  Honestly, I find that delicious and its my
biggest savior whenever I have a craving.  Before I eat anything in the morning and at lunch time I have a cup
and I eat 10 x less.  



Chia seeds, yes like from a Chia pet.  Chia seeds, when soaked in any liquid turn into Chia gel.  This gel keeps
you full for hours, plus Chia seeds are very good for you, they are high in fiber, protein, and lots of vitamins and
minerals.  Two teaspoons is 70 calories, so I measure out two teaspoons every morning and put some in
everything I drink throughout the day, which keeps me full all day!!  I put it in water, tea, coffee, any liquid
works!  Also,  Chia seeds being high in fiber helps with weight loss too.  I know it’s gross, but you need to
remember, the longer food stays in your system the more calories you are absorbing from it.  You should be
going once for every time that you eat, if you aren’t then you need more fiber in your diet.

One random tip that works great on weekends/at night is to paint your nails when you get one of those won’t go
away cravings. If you use really thick layers of dark (dark dries slowest) polish (be sure to use base and top coat
too!) it can take forever to dry – time where you literally can’t get anything to eat! Sometimes I won’t keep nail
polish remover in the house – that way if I mess my nails up, I would have to go to work in the morning looking
horrid.


I know many people crave to eat something right after their meal, here’s a great tip for them: While you’re
making yourself a meal, (washing your salad, steaming your broccoli or whatever), always make a big cup of
green tea as well.  That way it is good and not too hot when you finished eating.  When you drink it right after
the meal you completely avoid all the cravings of eating more or having dessert!  Don’t wait with making the tea
till you finished eating, because if you do, you will have to wait until it’s good and that’s when the cravings come
and you’ll have to control yourself.

I tell people I have an ulcer, so I have to be really selective about what I eat- and it is a great excuse for when
you are with people and not eating- “My ulcer is bugging me!”




Make sure to check the soup aisle at the grocery store!  Some people get cold a lot when they are dieting, and
soup can be so comforting.  It is also easy to open up a can of soup after a long day without a lot of
preparation, when you might otherwise choose something less healthy.  There are a lot of fatty soups with a lot
of carbs and calories, but if you look for low fat or fat free, low sodium soups, you will find there are plenty with
60 to 100 calories per serving.  It’s even easier to find these at the organic food stores.  Some examples of
soups I have found that are low in sodium, fat, and calories are certain tomato soups and vegetable soups.  If
you find a low fat low sodium free range chicken soup broth,  or a vegetable soup broth, these can be even 15
calories a serving and you can add your own veggies.

Here are tips on water:

Drinking ice cold water makes your body burn more calories, because your body has to work harder to raise
the temperature of the ice cold water to your body temperature (which is around 98 degrees)
Drinking an 8-ounce cup of ice-cold water burns approx. 8 calories depending on your BMI
Drinking 8 glasses of iced water a day and burning about  8 calories for each glass = 64 calories burned per day
Over a year you can imagine the calorie loss…. 64 calories burned per day equals almost 6 pounds of fat lost!
And remember, the more you drink the more you lose, Christina Ricci once said that she drinks 4 liters of water
a day!! (please don’t go over 4 though, it can be dangerous as much more than that will dilute the sodium
content in your blood and can lead to a  stroke  - try 4 liters, you’ll have GLORIOUS skin)




When you’re feeling hungry or craving something particular put in some teeth whitening strips.  They usually
restrict you from eating or drinking anything for a half hour or so, which gives you time to think about why you
shouldn’t eat.  As an added bonus, your teeth will be brighter and you’ll be giving yourself a smile boost!  I’ve
found that
Crest Whitestrips are a good brand to use for this because you use them once a day for roughly
twenty days (depending on which pack you get).



Stay away from sandwiches! They are just about the worst kind of food when you are on a diet. First, they pack a
lot of food into a small space, leaving you relatively unsatisfied for the number of calories you’re consuming.
Second, they are designed to be eaten quickly – a big no-no for anyone trying to lose weight. Third, they tend
to come with a lot of empty calories – sauces, too much meat filling, etc. And finally, sandwiches treat bread as
a vehicle for food, not as food in itself, thus adding a lot of unnecessary calories to what might otherwise be a
sensible meal.If you absolutely must eat on the run and need a sandwich, make sure to use a low-calorie bread
(Weight Watchers whole grain will set you back about 50 calories per slice), use lean meats, stay away from
sauces (especially mayonnaise!), and pack your sandwich with lots of leafy vegetables (baby spinach is my
favorite).  



Salsa! It has approx. 10 calories in a serving, and it’s delicious. I eat it with a teaspoon.  And the chili in it will
speed up your metabolism too!  




If you live with you parents or someone who is concerned about your eating habits, make sure you take full
advantage of the time you have alone in your living space.  You can do small things such as adjusting your
kitchen to make it appear as though you’ve eaten (dirtying dishes / leaving certain foods out / baking etc).  
Other activities include toning exercises (my goal is 200 sit ups a day + 100 squats, and I find this routine often
triggers huge suspicions as it probably seems so rigorous and relentless), as well as measuring / weighing
yourself (it’s better if you do this when you are completely alone, as people will become more aware that you
are watching your figure if they catch you at it).  


This may sound a little odd but if I have a goal weight or something motivating me to stick to dieting I’ll write it
on my legs, or stomach or something. This works best during winter when no one else will see your legs, etc. I’
ll write my goal and every time I change clothes I see it and am reminded. Its another way to stay strong. Just
make sure not to do it where others can see.  


If you think your new eating habits have concerned a friend, family member, etc., a good thing to do to help
convince them that you’re your old, bigger self (ha ha) would be to eat fast food! You can go to a fast food
restaurant, get a salad (sans dressing, of course) and a water, consume the food and drink, and then leave the
bag lying around anywhere where you are sure someone will see it (your car, table, top of the trash). It’s also
good to ask the person serving you where you got the food to put the water in one of the place’s regular drink
cups. Then, you have more evidence (;. When someone sees a fast food bag on your table, they’ll think “Hm, so-
and-so can’t be trying to lose weight or get thinner–they eat junk!”  




Celery! It actually requires more calories to digest than it contains. So it is virtually impossible to gain weight
eating it. Whenever you fell like eating, grab a couple of celery sticks and it will fill you up and make you (a little
bit) skinnier!




A way I try to distract myself is with counting activities. If I don’t have anything to do for a while, but I’m afraid I’
m going to binge, I’ll go outside and lay under a tree and try to count all the leaves. It is an impossible task, but
it is good to keep your mind off of food. and maybe looking at the leaves will make you just want to have a salad
instead.  Warning though: probably not a good tip for someone with OCD.
